The Role
As a Paraplanner you will work alongside the advisory team which includes the two directors. The role will incorporate traditional paraplanning work as well as being actively involved in client meetings. You will deal with wealthy & sophisticated clients that are often entrepreneurs, successful business owners etc. with complex investment and pension planning needs and tax related problems. Supported by a team of administrators, your responsibilities will include:
- attending client meetings
- developing and managing financial planning strategies
- undertaking research
- preparing reports
This role potentially offers a career pathway to full adviser status in 3 plus years.
The Company
Our client is a firm of Chartered Financial Planners based in Thornbury, South Gloucestershire. Now in their 28th year of trading, clients are predominantly SME business owners, senior executives and wealthy retirees. Their focus is very much on delivering lifestyle financial planning advice rather than product-based selling. This is an exciting opportunity to work directly with an up and coming firm (New Model Adviser Top 100 Firm in 2016 & 2018, Professional Adviser Awards Firm of the year finalist in 2017 and 2018). The Person
As an experienced Paraplanner you will be Diploma qualified and either hold, or be working towards, chartered status (financial support is available to complete training). AF7 would be advantageous although not essential. You will also have:
- excellent communication skills
- good organisation skills
- sound numerical ability
- ability to work to tight deadlines
