Procurement Manager for international corporation supplying infrastructure, technology and solutions near Middlesbrough

The Role

As Procurement / Purchasing Manager for Facilities Management ( FM ) and direct parts, you will support the Procurement Lead, taking responsibility for sourcing activities to support operations. Your responsibilities will include:

  • developing / executing procurement plans for a portfolio of commodities
  • identification, approval and set-up of potential suppliers
  • setting sourcing strategy for new contract opportunities
  • evaluating supplier proposals / providing recommendations
  • commercial contract drafting, negotiation, approval and award
  • conducting supplier performance reviews / supplier risk management activity
  • supporting process improvement activities relating to P2P, S2C, SRM, MRP

Some travel will be required between UK sites ( London / North East / regionally ) and also some international travel

The Person

As Procurement Manager you will have commodity management experience in FM / direct parts in a manufacturing environment with a relevant qualification ( CIPS, degree or relevant purchasing, procurement, buying experience). With knowledge of contract law / drafting for different product / services and familiarity with SAP  PO / Material Master / PIR / Contract management) you will have:

  • excellent organisation / time management skills
  • knowledge of value engineering / logistics optimisation / process improvement
  • knowledge of contract Lifecycle Management tools
  • experience working with cross-functional teams
  • strong IT skills ( Excel / Microsoft etc. )

Some travel will be required between UK sites ( London / North East / regionally ) and also some International travel
