Market leading South Wales company looking for Planning / Logistics Manager
The Role
As Logistics & Planning Manager you will lead a 100+ team of people including Planning, Scheduling, Production Control, Warehousing, Distribution etc. You will take responsibility for delivering the major change & enhancement programmes currently underway including strategic planning for your business area and the company Continuous Improvement and Lean / Six Sigma initiatives. Duties include:
- planning / managing / delivering all aspects of Master Production Schedule ( MPS )
- leading, developing and reviewing individual(s) and team performance
- managing direct staff, outsourcing and outsourced contracts etc.
- preparing and delivering annual budgets and plans, in-house cost savings and external costs

The Person
As Logistics & Planning Manager, you will have experience in a previous role in a Manufacturing / Production / Engineering / Assembly / Operations environment with strong exposure to Best Practice / CI / Six Sigma and Lean implementations. With a relevant qualification and strong commercial acumen, you will be a charismatic leader with strong people / presentation / business skills and confident in being judged on results. You will also have experience in / knowledge of:
- planning / MPS / MRP / ERP skills
- financial budgeting & forecasting
- people / team management / leadership
- supply chain / logistics / outsourcing
