Business Controller

Your Role

As a Business Controller you will work operationally supporting C2S business activities.

You will act as business partner with high integrity across the whole organization. Your main responsibility will be to interact with our projects from a finance perspective and to create an understanding and acceptance of the financial control and processes. You will be an active member in the finance team and you will report to Head of Business Control for C2S. 

You will work together with tender team, operations and projects. Work to find problems and to change those into improvements. Be active as early as possible regarding information on changing conditions, which has an effect on the business, and thus be able to give “early warnings" to avoid surprises. You manage monthly reporting, budget & forecasts within the business unit organization.

The key responsibilities will include:

o    Interact with our projects from a finance perspective

o    Analytical thinking, being proactive and having the ability to challenge the operation within the finance area

o    Actively take part in the development of the Finance team at C2S

o    Financial planning, forecasts and reporting within the business unit organization

o    Ensuring cost awareness within the Business Unit

o    Analyze and identify risks and challenges, give proposals for improvements

Your profile

We are looking for a Business Controller with good communication skills that have the will to cooperate with others. To be successful in this position it is important to have integrity, be able to motivate others and to have analytic and pedagogical ability to understand and explain financial conditions. You have the ability to combine strategic thinking with the control of details. You work in a systematic, visionary manner towards set targets, and your ability to change when needed is high. You have a high initiative ability and curiosity about the organization. You should also be business oriented and have basic knowledge of project management.

Experience from commercial aspects of large projects and complex contracts is an advantage. As we act in a global environment, experience of business control within a global environment is advantageous, and you must communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing. You have excellent knowledge of financial reporting and data analysis tools, particularly Excel and Power Point. Good knowledge of accounting systems, like Agresso, is valuable.

o    Appropriate professional or post graduate qualification in business management or Economics

o    Minimum of five years of relevant experience

o    Efficient in communication

o    Excellent communication skills in English and Swedish, verbal and written

What will you be part of

Business Area Surveillance provides efficient solutions for safety and security, for surveillance and decision support, and for threat detection and protection. The portfolio covers airborne, ground-based and naval radar, electronic warfare, combat systems and C4I solutions (C2S).

You will be a part of Business Unit Combat Systems and C4I Solutions (C2S), which develops advanced defense and security systems for domestic and international markets. Our intuitive real-time command and control; command support; security and surveillance; and mixed reality applications are designed to adapt to today’s rapidly changing defense and security challenges. We develop technology that pushes boundaries and breaks conventions to keep people and society safe. We operate globally with local sites in Sweden and Australia.

You will be an active member in the Finance team and work with experienced people whom are stationed in Järfälla. The environment in the group gives you great opportunities to influence how we work and as a group support the business in the best way.
