Main Purpose of Job:
Fire & Security Designer to work alongside the Sales and Technical Team within the Group. Reporting to the Technical Manager, the main purpose of this key role would be to produce compliant Fire & Security Specification Designs to client schemes and / or enquiries.
Main duties
The role of our Designer is to support the Sales Team by designing and creating specifications for proposals. This is very much a hands-on, diverse role and can be a challenging role that is key function of our business.
- Design Layouts and specification completion for smart home, fire and security systems including access control, fire alarms, CCTV and emergency lighting
- Drawings and zone legends for CAD
- Cause and Effect Proposals
- Battery and loop calculations
- Communication with customers at all levels
- Maintaining a design register
- Innovative Compliant Design Solutions
- Design with focus on core technologies
- Site surveys
Skills and Experience
We are looking for a dedicated Designer that has extensive knowledge and experience of working within the fire and security industry, with an attention to detail and focus on Current Building, BS and EN standards as appropriate
