Proftech Talent are currently working with an industry specialist who are recruiting for a Structural Engineer. They are specialists in mechanical handling and conveyor projects and operate with in the aerospace, automotive and international sectors.
They are currently engaged in the design of automotive logistic conveyor systems. Many of their installations are roof truss support from existing customer buildings. Currently they are working on several large projects and going forward want to recruit a Structural Design Engineer to use Tekla structures or similar to the lead the juniors and sub-contractors in the steel design activities.
For steel structures or client complies with the requirements of EN1090 EX2 and as such the Structural Design Engineer shall be responsible for calculation and design of steel structures in accordance with all the legislation and standards associated with steel design (Eurocode 3/BS5950)
You will also be expected to co-ordinate and work alongside the customers either at their offices or at client sites.
The successful candidate will need to have good communication skills to liaise with the Managing Director, Lead Engineer, project managers and manufacturing operatives.
