The role requires an experienced planning professional with a strong, solid background in day-to day analysis of data to generate appropriate and achievable production plans. The individual, must also be able to identify material requirements and in conjunction with the supply chain team, ensure the availability of materials so that the plans can be achieved. The role also requires regular and routine capacity analysis to identify and report any imbalances between installed capacity and demand (current or forecast) and recommends action required.

  • Will utilise the businesses ERP & MRP systems, & personal computer skills to analyse demand and generate production schedules for all manufacturing processes.
  • In conjunction with the other members of the supply chain team, ensure effective supply & control of materials to enable production personnel to achieve planned work.
  • All aspects of Production / Capacity Planning & related performance, including but not limited to reporting achievement of plan, performance against standard, & other associated KPIs
  • Through effective capacity planning, production & material scheduling; responsible for all aspects of customer delivery performance and associated KPIs (DOTIF, First Pick Availability).
  • Producing a range of management reports for the Senior Management Team
  • In conjunction with the Works Director & Department Supervision; responsible for Inventory Turns, inventory accuracy, cycle counting, capital employed in inventory, stock rotation, & stock at third party sub-contractors.
  • Responsible for providing sales personnel with accurate information relating to product availability & delivery dates. Also, to assist in resolving general queries.
  • In conjunction with the Technical & Development staff, plan trials & development work into production schedules.
  • Ensure accurate & timely update of information on the ERP system relating to changes in production standards, cycle times, B.O.M.s, or similar.
  • In conjunction with the Works Director, Production Supervision, &/or maintenance staff, build planned maintenance slots into production schedules.
