Regional Account Manager

Regional Account Manager (894024) Oxfordshire, England

Salary: GBP24000 - GBP25500 per annum + OTE £50,000 pa + Car

A client based in the Shropshire area is looking for a Regional Account Manager to look after and develop clients in the southern region.

The purpose of this role is to generate sales by offering service, support and knowledge to the customers. This will be a mix of expanding current products ranges and also to take on-board brand-new accounts. There will be a monthly target which will be expected to be achieved by growing sales as stated above.

A key area will be to travel across the southern region (regional area is from Birmingham down) to meet with external customers across all levels including higher level contacts at head office level for standalone accounts. Building relationships with internal staff is also key as you will need to work with customer services, technical and enquiries teams.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing on-going relationships ensuring that trade customers increasingly market more of our products
  • Introducing new product ranges and providing quotations and attending on-site visits
  • Develop an account plan for each of your accounts
  • Deliver marketing campaigns and training for customers’ sale teams
  • Attend and support site visits when surveys are required.
  • A need to negotiate pricing and product selection on a regular basis

 

Qualifications/Experience

  • A proven record of growing product sales and expanding product ranges within existing accounts
  • A record of delivering new named accounts, including the initial pitch and account set up
  • Experience of delivering to an Account Plan and agreed objectives.
  • Ability to deliver product training to trade customers and show confidence to attend exhibitions and sales forums of our customers.
  • Proven ability to organise and manage your own time effectively to achieve a balanced response to numerous demands on time.
  • An appreciation or knowledge of selling on line or via a paper catalogue would be a distinct advantage
  • Good Excel skills would be a strong advantage as there is often large amounts of data to manipulate
  • Knowledge of SAP would be a distinct advantage
  • Good Powerpoint skills would be very useful.
