Quantity Surveyor (BBBH4993) Auckland, New Zealand
This is an opportunity not to be missed for one of Auckland’s leading ‘design and build’ construction companies. They have a project portfolio consisting of office construction, warehousing, retail, industrial, education and community buildings.
With none of their work being tendered, they programme the projects themselves which eliminates any stresses around time-frames.
They have an immediate need for a Quantity Surveyor to come on board.
The role isn’t you standard QS vacancy, there will be aspects of Project Management included in the role to give it an interesting twist.
Your duties will include but not be limited to:
- Contract administration
- Procurement of subcontractor and supplier agreements
- Cost control, budget monitoring and reporting
- Progress claims variations and payments
- Processing, negotiation and agreement of final accounts
- Management of construction programme
- Dealing with the client
- Being present on site alongside the Site Manager
To be successful in your application, you will ideally need to a minimum of 5 years experience in a Quantity Surveying role. A relevant qualification is preferred and some exposure to Project Management will be a massive bonus.
