The Engineer in Equipment Development Engineering will contribute to the development and execution of new equipment technology platforms (specifically Fountain Dispensing, Frozen Equipment, Vending, and Coolers) targeted at preserving the quality of products while increasing incidents rate. This position will support the Senior manager by providing technical expertise, specification, Design of test plans and work with Key suppliers to develop design concepts for growth program for Fountain and other Food Service Equipment with key suppliers to support premier accounts through Food Service.
1. Develop, revise, steward and manage all key testing protocols, including process, performance, food safety, and electronics.
2. Project work includes partnering with internal subject matter experts, external equipment suppliers and consultants with the objective of evaluating and certifying innovative dispense equipment.
3. Candidate is responsible creating and revising key testing protocols, developing and running test procedures with labs, troubleshooting dispense equipment, and publishing weekly reports to the manager and project leadership team.
Skill Sets:
Required: AutoCAD 2010
Required Qualifications
1. Mechanical or Process engineering skills, proficient in consumer appliance type equipment design and manufacturing, fluids, metals, plastics, heat transfer.
2. Proficient in electro-mechanical components such as relays, solenoids, gear motors, etc.
3. Strong documentation skills, test protocol development and implementation, CAD (i.e. Solidworks), Excel, Power Point
4. Track record of developing test specifications and lab and/or field assessment of consumer appliances.
5. Experience in design, test, and manufacturing environment
PREFERRED SKILLS
Food service or appliance equipment industry is preferred. Powder beverage dispense experience. Food Safety background.

CERTIFICATIONS*** B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electro-Mechanical Engineering

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Some hands on work with tools, basic equipment assembly, lab testing, and site support as needed. Ability to lift components such as gear motors and sheet metal panels.
