Salary:  GBP24 - GBP28 per hour

Adults social services, long term locum contract, based within the Channel Isles.

Our client is looking for an experienced qualified social worker in the field of older person’s and learning disability services. Ideally you will have at least 3 years direct experience of working as a qualified social worker.

The post holders role will include:
• Working as part of the multi-disciplinary team, particular relationships with Ward Manager and Consultant
• Support Service User to be discharged from hospital
• Support Service Users families friends, carers to be included as valuable members of social network, offer advice, information carers assessments
• Develop working relationship with Care coordinator in community and specialist teams
• Provide carers assessments, information support to carers friends and families
• Participate in ward rounds, promoting and addressing social care issues
• Complete carers assessments

You are required to demonstrate a flexible approach in the delivery of work within the service. Consequently the post-holder may be required to perform work not specifically identified in the job profiles but which are in line with the general level of the responsibilities of the post.

The successful candidate will need to hold a DipSW or equivalent, registered with the GSCC, have a current CRB (issued 2009/2010), and hold a valid UK driving license. The post is looking to run for a minimum 6 months and could well move to a temp-to-perm contract.
