Section 2 – Department Description

Our client manufactures and sells a wide range of flexible conduit solutions in global markets. The manufacturing facility includes a range of processes including; Metal turning (CNC and Conventional controlled machines), Metal forming, Injection Moulding of polymers, Polymer and Composite Extrusion, component assembly, Warehousing and Shipping, and associated support services.  

 

They distribute its’ products across a broad customer base in many varying and demanding market sectors where quality and service are a given. The ability to embed a responsive, reliable, performance orientated and lean culture; within a safe, healthy and environmentally responsible culture will be a key component in ensuring the organisations future success.

 

 

Section 3 – Job Role 

The role of EH&S Lead reports to the Operations Director and has day to day responsibility for All aspects of daily management of health, safety, and environmental management within the workplace. This entails

working closely with the Operations and Manufacturing Managers, Supply Chain personnel, HR, Engineering, Technical, and Group colleagues.

 

 

Section 4 – Key Responsibilities

 

•       All aspects of daily management of health, safety, and environmental management within the workplace.

•       Regulatory compliance – Ensuring compliance with legal all current legislation, codes of practice and relevant standards.

•       Maintenance of, but not limited to; permits, risk assessments, permits to work, EH&S training etc.

•       Ongoing maintenance of management systems, policies and procedures.

•       Integrate and harmonise companies EH&S systems with Group EH&S Management systems.

•       Managing all aspects of reporting within Enablon: including but not limited to; reporting of accidents and incidents, LTIS, NOVs, RIRs, KPIs etc. 

•       Act as the business unit’s representative for SEMS committee meetings, and for reporting within the requirements of SEMS

•       Represent the business on the EMEA safety council

•       Chair EH&S committee meetings

•       Communication & training of Kore Alerts, and for responsibility for associated action / improvement plans.

 

•       Management of internal and external audits and inspections.

•       In conjunction with HR colleagues all aspects of health screening and ongoing surveillance, including dealing with occupational. 

•       In line with company policy, coordination Incident / near miss / accident investigations.

•       EH&S Induction for employees and contractors

•       Where instructed dealing with third party insurers regarding claims for industrial injury or similar.
