Operating from a dedicated, NADCAP accredited 20,000 sq ft facility, they design and manufacture additional product lines including linear and resistance welding machines, our client is an unrivalled one-stop shop solution for clients such as JLR and many tier 1 automotive clients.
Due to an internal move they are looking to recruit a Design Manager/Leader
To manage a team of design engineers and sub contractors when required.
Be responsible for allocating projects to design engineers
Be responsible for submitting right first time designs to project deadlines.
Ensure drawings are to correct standard with regard to tolerance and design for manufacture
Manage Mechanical Design standards and update as necessary wth Head Of Engineering
Support with shopfloor queries
Assist with providing technical doocumentation such as manuals and spares lists.
Experience on Solidworks 2017 is essential
A machine tool/jigs/fixtures background is desirable
