Maintenance Engineer

We are a long-established manufacturer of high-quality, low maintenance, energy efficient PVC-u windows and doors. We are looking for a skilled Shift Maintenance Engineer to become part of our team based in Telford. An ideal role for a time served Apprenticeship with a minimum of two years in a similar role ideally in a manufacturing environment.

The Role

• Shift Maintenance Engineer working a four on four off 12 hour day shift.
• Carry out reactive and planned maintenance work to manufacturing equipment and buildings
• Carry out mechanical and electrical installation work on all factory equipment
• To suggest and implement improvements to plant and machinery to prevent waste and improve productivity and quality.

The Candidate

• Time served Multi skilled Maintenance Engineer with mechanical/Electrical knowledge

• Recognised qualification obtained through an Apprenticeship, plus 17^th/18^th edition qualification essential

• 2+ years’ experience in an Industrial / Manufacturing maintenance role
• To have an excellent understanding and possess skills to work independently on Electric, Mechanical and pneumatic systems from detailed drawings
• To fault find and interrogate PLC software

• Good mechanical skills (Conveyors, Gearboxes etc)
• Experience with CNC, PLC’s, Servo Drives and inverters.
• Ability and confidence to work on their own (with a can-do attitude)
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Good IT, verbal and communication skills

• Flexible approach to overtime
• Experience in a Continuous Improvement Environment
• Teamworking skills.
