Job Purpose:

 

To repair and maintain PVC frame machinery (saws, CNC , welding)

To repair and maintain woodworking machinery (CNC , Edge banding, saws)

To improve where possible cycle times and procedures

 

 

Key Accountabilities:

 

 

Carry out planned maintenance and service routines and amend or create where needed

 

Make the appropriate entries on the computer based maintenance system (Pirana CMMS)

 

Carry out plant installations and process modifications to increase or improve output

 

Carry out maintenance tasks and procedures adhering to all safe systems of work and permit systems

 

Complete relevant documentation associated with servicing of equipment

 

Carry out fault finding diagnosis/repairs on equipment and plant

 

Oversee apprentice and help with training when needed

 

Willing to work overtime if required

 

Night shift working

 

Ability to work unsupervised

Key Experiences:

 

 

Woodworking CNC,s and cutting equipment

 

PVC extrusion cutting and processing

 

PLC troubleshooting , some programming and creation of automation

 

Building maintenance , facilities ( plumbing heating)

 

High volume extraction systems

 

Thermoforming experience an advantage

 

 

 

 

Desirables Skills, Qualifications and Experience Required:

 

 

Electromechanical background, biased to electrical (60/40) (17th edition or proof of electrical competency )

 

Fabrication and innovation a bonus

 

Mig Welding and arc welding an advantage

 

3phase motors and machinery able to read and understand electrical, pneumatic drawings
