Part of a major international automotive supplier; this organisation has created an opportunity within the business for a Process Engineer with a strong knowledge of Injection Moulding. You will be joining the business to be the technical leader and guru of all things Injection Moulding on site including responsibility for & the smooth running for all the machinery, mentoring of the operatives & insuring the smooth running of the machinery. This is a senior role with a great amount of responsibility. Process Engineer (Injection Moulding) Main duties and responsibilities for the Process Engineer will be: o To provide operational & Process Improvement support around all things Injection Moulding o To take full ownership of the Injection moulding machines, mentoring of operatives and improving their skill levels & constant interaction with Cell Leaders to insure the smooth running of the Injection Moulding machinery. o Champion World Class Manufacturing activity on site o Optimise & Co-ordinator tooling – including time changes through SMED, working with Maintenance & the tooling storage. Knowledge and experience required for this Process Engineer: o You will already be working as a Technical Lead, Process Engineer, Project Engineer, Senior Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Tooling Engineer Preferable within an Automotive or Plastics business. Experience with the following would be extremely advantageous: o Injection Moulding experience is essential o Knowledge of TS16949 o A strong Lean Toolbox is essential – process, 5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma etc. o Working knowledge of JIT o Robotics / PLCs o Any Supervisory experience would be looked on favourably The opportunity This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading automotive supplier in a key role for someone with extensive Injection Moulding Machinery knowledge and offering the right candidate the autonomy to bring success and growth to the organisation.
