Quality Manager (camaof1) Halesowen, England

A large first tier Automotive supplier in South Birmingham is looking to employ an experienced Quality and Systems Manager 

 

The puropse of the role

To develop a business operating system, ensuring compliance with legal, 3rd party and customer specific requirements.

  • To develop and manage a team to support the above
  • To monitor the above systems and implement corrective action plans to maintain compliance to the system
  • To develop / analyse the business through the agreed business systems 
  • To assist in developing a cross-functional support team
  • To support the continuous improvement programme
  • To liaise with customers, externally and internally as necessary.
  • To act as Management Representative as per TS16949 clause 5.5.2.

To act as Customer Representative as per TS16949 clause 5.5.2.1.

You will have the following technical experience

  • TS16949, E, H&S systems and procedures
  • Man management skills (inc Disciplinary, Performance monitoring, Man Power planning and recruitment)
  • Knowledge of automotive industry
  • Manufacturing / production experience
  • Knowledge of the assembly process
  • Customer liaison experience (preferably Toyota & Honda).
  • Practical problem solving
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Financial awareness.
  • Previous experience of developing business operating systems.
  • Comprehensive IT skills.

Your Principle accountabilities

  • To support health, safety and environmental systems, agreed by the company to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
  • To consistently achieve the quality standards as determined by the customer adhering to the company’s quality procedures and standards, thereby ensuring continued TS 16949 registration.
  • Authoritarian in quality judgements regarding product integrity.
  • To develop a cross-functional teamwork approach involving all departmental disciplines.
  • To constantly monitor and analyse performance and implement continuous improvements.
  • To maximize efficiency of the system via auditing to the developed procedures, practical problem solving, continuous improvement and plan, do, check & act methodology.
  • To devise and maintain a continuous training and development plan.
  • To constantly improve and develop the systems team to ensure good team working and therefore maximizing the resource focusing on consistently achieving conformance.
  • To support the development and maintenance of a system that confirms compliance.
  • To liaise with all customers, externally and internally as required.
  • Preparation, monitoring and analysis of agreed KPI’s.To ensure that adequate cover is maintained during any holiday periods

Hours are either 8.30-5pm and 8.30 -4pm on a friday or 7.30-4pm and 730-3pm on a friday

Salary guide 50-55k -company car- healthcare and pension schemes.
