HGV Class 1 LGV CE shunter driver
HGV Class 1/LGV CE Shunter Drivers required for very well-known high street brand at their Burton Distribution Centre
The role
Being part of a dedicated (and busy) team to operate and manage multiple trailer movements in between loading docks and trailer parks all within the RDC located in Burton-on-Trent.
This is seasonal work as part of the Christmas Warehouse Stock, which will run until January 2020 and may be ongoing for the right candidates, as PDRS operate 100% of the shunt plan 24/7/365.
All new drivers must undertake suitability assessment in 2-parts, driving & paperwork.
This will take place from 06.00 at the Burton site on the following dates:
Session 1: Monday 29th July & Tuesday 30th July
Session 2: Wednesday 31st July & Thursday 1st August
Start date: Monday 5th August.
Required skills and experiences
· You must have held a HGV 1 licence for 1 year and completed 90 Class 1 shifts.
· You must not have more than 6 points (2 offences) currently on your HGV / LGV licence.
· You must have a valid Driver Card (digi-tacho) & Driver CPC (DQC).
· You may benefit from previous Terberg / shunting experience, however the client will provide you with appropriate training, where required.
We are NOT able to accept drivers with CD, DD, DR, IN, CU80 or TT99 endorsements.
Licence checks WILL be carried out before you are booked on assessment.
Shift Patterns:
4 x Day drivers – 4 on 4 off - 06:00 – 18:00 (will include weekends)
4 x Night drivers – 4 on 4 off – 18:00 – 06:00 (will include weekends)
There may be extra days available, depending on availability
Also need a for weekday nights:
1 x shunter/trunk driver - 19:00 starts – Monday to Friday (Will need to be willing to shunt and trunk as required by client).
Pay Rates
HGV Class 1/LGV CE shunter driver
LTD & Umbrella PAYE formats available:
Mon-Fri Days = £13.34 LTD / Umbrella
Mon – Fri Nights = £15.30 LTD / Umbrella
Saturdays = £17.27 LTD / Umbrella
Sundays = £19.23 LTD / Umbrella
