HGV Class 1/Class 2 HIAB Driver - Nottingham - permanent
The role:
- Full time & permanent employment
- Have a responsible attitude.
- Moving modular buildings, small plant and machinery
- This full time employment is available through a temp to perm process.
- When not required to drive, be expected to 2nd man and work as slinger/signaller
- Carry out general admin duties within the office when required.
Duties, Responsibilities and Required Skills
- Class 1 or Class 2 HGV licence
- HIAB qualification ideally with ‘lorry loader hook’
- Moving modular buildings, small plant and machinery
- Delivering nationally with some nights away
- Be able to work in an unsupervised environment
- Maintain high industry standards of safety, health and security
- Uphold legal compliance for road transport legislation
- Be knowledgeable and experienced with London driving
- Have construction site knowledge (desirable)
- Will benefit from previous flat-bed experience and load security (desirable, as some high, wide or long loads may exist)
- Have a responsible attitude.
- Have no greater than 6 points on your HGV / LGV licence
- Appropriate training, safe systems of work, safe operating procedures and extensive on-the-job training are all provided.
- Good administration skills/computer literacy.
- Able to operate up to 32 tonne vehicles, including wagon & drag.
- CSCS card an advantage.
Shifts available:
Days, Monday to Friday
Some nights away, early starts and occasional weekends may be required.
Salary:
Competitive (£22,000 - £30,000 per annum), depending on experience.
