HGV Class1/LGV CE ADR Tanker Driver, bitumen
PDRS have immediate ongoing positions available with national ADR Tanker Distribution Company based out of Nynas Refinery, Eastham, Wirral, to undertake non-hazardous deliveries of Bitumen and Emulsions to a range of customer sites throughout the UK.
Full ADR for tanks preferred to allow general product delivery opportunities after Bitumen & Emulsion season comes to an end (November/December) whilst also giving the options for deliveries of other various General Products.
Duration:
Ongoing annual agency contract until end of the year, plus possible future GP contracts when the season slows down.
HGV Class1/LGV CE ADR Tanker Driver, bitumen
The role:
- Distribution of Bitumen products to sites across the UK from Eastham, Cheshire.
- Maintaining very high industry standards of safety, health and security.
- Maintaining strong legal compliance for road transport legislation.
- Be able to work in an unsupervised environment.
- Have a responsible attitude.
Required skills and experiences:
- You will have held HGV 1 licence for a minimum 2 years.
- Have a full ADR in tanks (excluding cat 1 & 7), with more than 6 month’s valid ADR certification.
- No greater than 6 points on your HGV / LGV licence.
- Have excellent Health and Safety knowledge and customer service skills.
- Preferably, you will already be experienced in operating out of this or similar locations.
- You will benefit from previous experience with chemical Tankers or general Tankers experience, however the client will provide you with appropriate training, product familiarisation and ‘product sign off’ where required.
Please note that we are NOT able to accept candidates with DD, DR, IN or CU80 endorsements in your licence.
The working week:
- Typically Monday – Friday, occasional Saturday or Sunday working
- Start times between 02.00 & 05.00 daily.
- Some nights away each week.
Additional working information:
- Guaranteed 9.5 hours per day, with overtime shifts available
- Early starts are required - bonus paid
- Nights-out required – bonus paid
LTD Co/Umbrella pay rates:
- Basic day rate - £14.50 per hour
- Overtime and Saturdays - £20.50 per hour
- Early starts (before 05.00) - £20.00
- Sundays - £26.50 per hour
- Nights out £27.00
