HGV Class 1 ADR Chemical Tanker driver

Part-time HGV Class 1 chemical tanker driver required to deliver general purpose liquids around the UK and Europe, for a very well-known national ADR Tanker distribution company.


Duration:


Our client requires an experienced part-time/ad-hoc HGV Class 1 chemical tanker driver with full ADR Card.
The work will be on-going as required by client.


The role:

  • May suit someone who is semi-retired or wanting occasional work
  • Part-time & ad-hoc employment for holiday & sickness cover
  • Ideally you need to be available at short notice, or with 1 weeks notice
  • Be able to work in an unsupervised environment.
  • Have a responsible attitude.
  • Maintain high industry standards of safety, health and security.
  • Maintain legal compliance for road transport legislation.


Shifts available:

  • Day Shifts, typically 05.00 starts.
  • Night shifts, typically 17.00.starts.
  • Will also include weekends


Salary:
HGV Class 1 Driver hourly pay rates (PAYE / Ltd Co):

  • Mon - Fri days = £11.05 / £13.10
  • Mon - Fri nights = £12.24 / £14.60
  • Saturday = £18.39 / £22.70
  • Sunday = £19.32 / £23.70
  • Guaranteed minimum paid 8 hour shifts.
  • All breaks paid, effectively increasing your hourly pay rate.


Required skills and experiences:

  • You will have held your HGV Class 1 licence for a minimum of 2 years
  • You must have driven more than 180 shifts within the last 2 years, including HGV Class 1 tankers
  • Driver must not have more than 6 points on driving Licence, including pending convictions
  • Hold a valid ADR card for tanks and must have more than 3 months left before renewal
  • You must have previous chemical tanker experience
  • All appropriate PPE is supplied.

We are recruiting for the Newport depot, NP20
