HGV/LGV Class 1 Tramping General Haulage - Full time / permanent employment opportunities with national distribution company located close to Worksop, Nottinghamshire.
Job purpose:
Undertake deliveries and collections, mostly of Bulk Containers to and from industrial sites throughout mainland UK.
The main role will be operating wagon & drag units, so experience running Class 2 with trailers would also be an advantage.
Duration:
Full Time/permanent, Monday to Friday days
Will involve regular tramping/paid nights out, and include working into central London.
The Client:
Operating from their main depot near Worksop, running a large fleet of articulated flat-beds/curtain-siders, along with wagon & drag units, they specialise in the transportation of bulky but light-weight goods.
They provide a nationwide delivery and collection service for their clients and complying with their strict quality standards.
Desirable Competencies:
This role is open to suitable candidates who have recently passed their Class 1 HGV licence and looking for steady work.
We would also invite experienced younger applicants to apply, HGV driver age limits will apply.
Hold a full ADR certificate in classes: 2, 3, 4.1, 4.2, 4.3, 5.1, 5.2, 6.1, 6.2, 8, 9.
Current Fork truck operator certificate.would be an advantage, but not essential.
Salary (PAYE):
- Approx. £625 - £725 per week (£32,000 - £37,000 per annum).
- includes core hourly rate plus additional payments for: early starts, late finishes, meals, tax-free nights-out, London weighted bonus.
- drivers also earn generous monthly bonus for careful driving (monthly accrual).
(plus holiday pay and pension contributions), paid weekly
