Ultrasound Manager - CAL

Ultrasound Manager - CAL (Cal1128) Calgary, Canada

Salary: CAD90000 - CAD110000 per annum

Reporting to the Director of Clinical Operations, the Ultrasound Manger is responsible for leading, planning, organizing, scheduling, directing and evaluating the delivery of ultrasound services across multiple clinics located in and around Calgary.   The key element of this position is to ensure that the clients patients are provided with an exceptional and caring experience.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Establishes and maintains the highest standards for the provision of exceptional ultrasound services.
  • Provides experienced leadership and managerial skills in guidance of the supervisor staff including but not limited to setting expectations, monitoring performance and provide coaching and feedback.
  • Creates, develops, monitors and maintains efficient ultrasound processes focused on providing an exceptional ultrasound experience adhering to all legislative perimeters.
  • Responsible for recruitment and selection of staff to create a positive, strong and efficient team enviorment.
  • Evaluates all existing staff performance and ensures that annual performance metrics are completed for all staff.
  • Addresses performance concerns in a timely fashion, initiating corrective action as required up to and including dismissal.
  • Develops and presents annual ultrasound operation budgets including revenue and expense for review and approval by the Director of Operations, CEO and Director of Finance.
  • Adheres to and supports all approved budgets, regularly monitoring all expenses and costs throughout the year.
  • Plans and develops new programs, special projects, materials and equipment acquisitions to advance the corporations goals of providing leading edge sub-specialty care.
  • Collaborates with the corporate team by promoting strong and positive staff relations, a strong team culture and a need to achieve goals and results.
  • Adheres to all privacy and confidentially polices and procedures as they relate to the corporation.
  • Undertakes other related duties as required.

 

Key Skills:

  • A minimum three to five years of strong managing experience in a diverse and fast paced medical or related field.
  • A degree in a health related area or diagnostic imaging modality discipline.
  • Sonography diploma and being an Credentialed Member of the Sonography Canada with liability insurance with experience would be an asset.
  • Current Registration with the appropriate licensing body is required.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with the existing management team.
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to be a effective coach.
  • Strong organizational and judgment skills with efficient time management skills.
  • The ability to manage change considering the needs of all stakeholders.
  • Experience in using Microsoft Office Suite.

Working Conditions: 

  • Required to have a current driver's license and vehicle to conduct business across the corporations locations.
  • Must be able to pass a full criminal background check.
