Director of Clinical Research is responsible for design, planning, implementation, and overall direction of clinical research projects and educational support for the pre-clinical validation, employee/customer training and marketing of Company products.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with product Marketing and R&D to identify champion and develop product line extensions and future product offerings
  2. Work with Marketing and R&D to organize workshops for meetings and regional Company sponsored symposia
  3. Develop and implement overall strategy for publications and presentations at global meetings that support Company’s strategies
  4. Monitor and report on clinical performance and products and study status and outcomes.
  5. Facilitate training of company personnel and distributors of the full scope and depth of endovascular aneurysm treatment
  6. Develop methods to gather clinical/product data from the field and use as an educational tool
  7. Assists Marketing and R&D in product promotions and articulations of clinical features and benefits
  8. Maintains budgets and allocates resources
  9. Summarizes literature on endovascular treatments with competitive technologies
  10. Manage staff directing the development implementation and evaluation of clinical studies. Develop system to communicate new updated technical/clinical information to our physicians, marketing and field personnel
  11. Assists Physicians in summarizing data for publications and presentations

Qualification Requirements


  1. Strong working knowledge of Neurovascular catheterization skills
  2. Ability to effective articulates products concepts, clinical protocols and study design
  3. Able to handle multiple tasks effectively and consistently meet deadlines
  4. Attention to detail, able to work autonomously
  5. Ability to effectively interface with physicians, staff personnel and hospital administration
  6. Ability to effectively interface with engineering, clinical and marketing personnel

Pre-requisites/Job Experience

  1. Capability and flexibility to travel to hospitals and participate in training/marketing events worldwide – 40-70% travel
  2. Extensive knowledge of Neuro anatomy and physiology
  3. Management experience
  4. Must have experience in initiating / managing domestic and OUS clinical studies
  5. MD, PhD, PharmD, Masters or 4 year degree
