About the Client

A medium sized contractor who specialise in delivering high end bespoke residential developments around the Cheshire area. They have a strong reputation in the niche sector they operate in and have a pipeline of projects either on site or due to commence in the coming months. Projects range from one off bespoke builds, small sites of 12-15 units compromising of high end 3, 4 and 5 bed houses, apartment blocks and regeneration of existing mill buildings into residential units.

About the Role

You will join as an Assistant Site Manager and work alongside an experienced Site Manager on a project. With support from the operational, commercial and back office teams, you will be responsible for helping to run the site in a safe manner, and ensuring that the programme of work is kept to. You will be responsible for assisting with the management of sub contractors, and report in to a visiting Contracts Manager. 

What you need to succeed

You will come from a house building background and ideally have experience assisting in the delivery of high spec properties. You will have a keen eye for detail and take pride in your work. You must be a strong man manager and be able to motivate teams of direct employees and sub contractors. Valid SMSTS, CSCS Card and First Aid certificates are essential. The project values range but some of the individual bespoke units are upwards of £3m in value. You must be ambitious and want to progress up the ladder into a full Site Manager role.

You will be offered the position on a Temp to Perm basis, and be paid a good day rate. You will also receive mileage, laptop and mobile phone. If the Freelance role goes well there is an option to make the move permanent, with a good salary and benefits available.
