They are currently seeking to recruit an Estimator to further strengthen the Development Led Team. The Estimator will aid in the cost planning as an in house and will be responsible for compiling costs, budgets and feasibility studies. You will work closely with the pre-construction team and will have a bias towards residential care or leisure with values ranging from £1.5 million to £10 million. This role will be based in our offices in Altrincham with the occasional site visit as and when required.
About the Role
Your responsibilities will include:
To assist and produce priced tenders that are accurate, clearly detailed, competitive and returned within deadlines
Development appraisals and cost planning
Develop new business with prospective clients and maintain relationships with existing clients
Provide clearly identified price build-ups to the Contract team
Responsible for assisting with bill of quantities
Building up project preliminaries in conjunction with the planning team
Tender analysis and assessment of commercial risks
Tender adjudication & value engineering
Preparing and submitting quotations for work
Helping with bids for new contracts and supporting buying activities
What you need to Succeed
Degree or HNC in Construction/Building/Surveying
At least 5 years experience in a Commercial role
Design & build experience is essential
Experience in residential care, assisted living or leisure projects is desirable
Main contractor / general construction background
Ability to cost plan and prepare builders quantities & estimates
Experienced in using both Conquest & Causeway Systems
