About the Company:

Due to our continued growth and success we are looking for an experienced Safety Advisor to assist with setting up the project safety systems for use on the project.

The Role:

The successful candidate will be working 2 -3 days per week ensuring that all of its activities are carried out in a safe and efficient manner with no impact to the Health and Wellbeing of its employees or those of contractors or subcontractors or the environment.

Duties will include but are not limited to the following:

• Provide and maintain a safe work environment and systems of work
• Seek to establish sound operating practices which will ensure safe working conditions for everybody whilst maintaining efficiency of operation
• Identify and manage the risks to our employees, Contractors, Subcontractors and to the surrounding community
• Encourage behaviour that reduces incidents in the workplace and adverse impacts on the surrounding community
• Ensure the Risk Management Plans developed by Contractors and Subcontractors are integral to all areas of work and have been considered in the formulation of this OH&S Management Plan
• Continual improvement of the plan through planning, doing, checking and changing
• Promote safety through displaying Policies, Evacuation procedures, Safety Alerts and Toolbox Minutes, First Aid Details, Emergency information and contact details
• Promote BMT’s Health and Safety commitment
• Meet targets that have been established for the project.
