Salary: GBP60000 - GBP70000 per annum + OTE & Full Benefits

European Sales Manager (electrical interconnect/sealing materials) - Home-based, UK or GERMANY
Basic salary (negotiable) + OTE & Full Benefits package (including car/allowance, private medical cover and contributory pension scheme) 

A new vacancy for a European Sales Manager with leading global manufacturer of high-performance interconnect/sealing materials. The company's products have a wide range of applications ranging from communications equipment, radars, aircraft, missiles and spacecraft - to computers and industrial electronics. 

The European Sales Manager will be responsible for developing business with both new & existing customers in Electronics, Military & Aerospace markets in mainland Europe, with a particular focus on FRANCE and GERMANY. The role will require frequent business travel (up to 3 days per week) but the job holder will have control over managing his/her own schedule. 

Candidates must be able to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of Electronics, Military or Aerospace markets, good technical aptitude and a consistent track record in sales achievement. The successful candidate will be a real "go-getter" with the ability to win new customers and find new sales revenues within existing key accounts. As a key and senior member of the sales team, the European Sales Manager will be expected to set an example to others and take a dynamic and proactive lead with minimal supervision, and develop an overarching strategy with the sole purpose of increasing sales revenues in line or above the strategic objectives.  The company is particularly interested in candidates with strong leadership skills and the potential to move into a European divisional sales team management role within a relatively short period of time.

Candidate requirements:
- Proactive and positive attitude with a will to succeed. No “farmers” need apply.
- Collaborative working style and fosters opinion
- Highly motivated with a track record of success and sales development
- An understanding of Engineered or Specialist Materials (or products such as enclosures, connectors, cabling or filters); although a Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering degree would be useful, it is not essential.
- Able to communicate and articulate complex subject matter effectively.
- Able to work within virtual teams and a matrix management organization with the ability to influence/enthuse others.
- Able to negotiate and compromise.
- Manage the contract review process and negotiate a mutually beneficial agreement in line with the company's guidelines and code of conduct.
- Able and willing to learn and absorb.
- Structured and organized.
- Although reporting is kept to an absolute minimum, it is an essential part of the job and all system tools are expected to be kept up to date.
- Able to handle variety and stay customer-focused (with a good sense of humour!)
