This Sous Chef position is a great opportunity for a young enthusiastic chef to work alongside the Head Chef who has a proven track record of working in a fresh food environment cooking a range of British style modern dishes. The successful applicant will need to be a team player with great communication skill, who is highly organised and can work in a fast-paced environment. The role comes with a rewarding salary of up to £25,000 for the right candidate and the role has an immediate start date!
The Company – Situated in the Ryedale area is this family run dining pub and bar serving local, seasonal food on an ever-changing menu and specials board, serving up to 120 covers per day. This company is looking for someone who is willing to develop their skills in the kitchen which will help to drive the business forward. The applicant will need his/her own transport due to the location of the business
Role:
- Experience working in a fresh food kitchen environment
- Excellent knowledge & experience of food safety legislation
- Previous experience at a Sous Chef or Chef de Partie level
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Own transport due to business location
Main Responsibilities:
- To ensure all meals are prepared and presented to an agreed high standard and quality.
- To ensure any special dietary requirements are met.
- To ensure adequate stock levels are in place.
- To contribute ideas to seasonal menus and specials.
- To adhere to all quality control systems, food safety and risk assessments, completing all documentation required legally and by the business.
- To help train, guide and mentor staff while working in the kitchen.
Hours of work – working within this successful business you will feel part of the family. You will be expected to work 45 hours a week through 5 out of 7 day incorporating split shifts, evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
