The Position - Castle Hospitality division have a fantastic opportunity and are recruiting for an experienced Chef de Partie for a local unique hospitality client based in the Helmsley area, North Yorkshire.  The Chef de Partie is to work along the Sous Chef to maintain standards, ensuring the kitchen hygiene standards are without exception adhered to and ensure that guests always receive through effective communication with all departments, the highest level of customer care.

Reporting to – Sous Chef

Requirements:

  • Experience at CDP level or ready to take the next step
  • Experience on all kitchen sections
  • Good communication skills
  • Team player attitude
  • Intermediate food hygiene
  • Own transport due to business location

The Company – This award-winning luxury hospitality client is based in the Helmsley area of North Yorkshire, offering high service standards in various divisions of hospitality.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all working areas are always kept clean and tidy
  • Prepare, cook and serve food as specified by the Head Chef and Sous Chef and to ensure that the food meets the appropriate specification
  • Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef to supervise the Commis Chefs in all food preparation and food production in all kitchens
  • Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in ensuring HACCP is in place to ensure due diligence
  • Monitor the temperature, quality and portion size of all food served from the kitchen areas
  • Ensure the effective control of refrigeration and dry store goods to ensure that there is no waste
  • Ensure that all areas of responsibility are kept sanitised and free from dust and debris following strict and agreed cleaning schedules
  • Assist the Sous Chef to be responsible for all stocks held in the department, its requisition, safe storage and usage to ensure proper control of costs achieved
  • Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef to ensure that all services used are correctly recorded and charged to the appropriate guest
  • To be dresses in a smart and professional manner in conjunction with company standards
  • To adhere to the food allergens regulations

Hours of work -  You will be expected to work 5 out of 7 days working across a mixture of days and shifts with the ability to be flexible with working schedules.
