The Position - Castle Hospitality division have a fantastic opportunity and are recruiting for a Rosette experienced Head Chef for a local unique hospitality client based in the Helmsley area, North Yorkshire.   The successful Head Chef should be ambitious and aspire to push the venue forward and will be responsible for setting, monitoring and controlling consistent standards in all areas of the kitchen and food production, to ensure that the highest quality of product is always maintained, and drive costs in line with kitchen budgets and targets.

Reporting to – Group Head Chef

Requirements:

  • Experience at Rosette Head Chef level
  • Work as a supportive member of the team
  • Good communication skills & high levels of customer care
  • Experience with staff training and development
  • A high understanding of HACCP and food safety legislation
  • Own transport due to business location

The Company – This award-winning luxury hospitality client is based in the Helmsley area of North Yorkshire, offering high service standards in various divisions of hospitality.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for planning, organising and control of day-to-day operation of the department thereby ensuring the established standards of performance are maintained and total customer satisfaction is achieved.
  • Ensure HACCP is in place to ensure due diligence
  • Supervise the work of the team, allocating special duties and responsibilities
  • Supervise all food preparation and production in all kitchens
  • Monitor the temperature, quality and portion size of all food served
  • Set and maintain standards within the team and make sure training is completed to keep these standards
  • Ensure that all areas of responsibility are always kept sanitised and free from dust and debris, following pre-agreed cleaning schedules
  • Ensure good communication throughout the kitchen departments at all times
  • Ensure that all food leaving the kitchen is prepared and served to the pre-agreed consistent high standards, ensuring that all hot food leaving the kitchen is at the required temperature
  • Attend meetings as requested by management of the hotel
  • React promptly to any issues identified in the building check

Hours of work -  You will be expected to work 5 out of 7 days working across a mixture of days and shifts.
