We are looking for a Sous Chef to fill a vacant position at this pub/restaurant venue and we are open to talking to chefs of all levels who are looking for a new and exciting challenge, they will need to take pride in their work and be goal orientated as the business pushes forward looking for awards and recognition.

The Company – Situated between Scarborough & Malton is this recently refurbished Gastro Pub, which is quickly developing a fantastic reputation for serving excellent food and drink at lunch times, evenings and on a Sunday lunch.  This is a privately-owned pub and you will be working alongside a talented Head Chef, who is tasked to drive the food offering forward.

Role:

  • Prepare, cook and serve food as specified by the Head Chef and to ensure that the food meets the appropriate specification.
  • Assisting the Head Chef in developing the menu & specials on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
  • Assuming Head Chef responsibilities when covering days off and holidays
  • Compliance with food safety legislation
  • Mentoring more junior staff with training and development
  • Assist in stock management

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of food safety legislation
  • Experience in a similar kitchen environment
  • Relevant Catering Qualifications
  • Own transport due to business location

Benefits –As Sous Chef at this pub you will be working up to 45 hours a week and have the chance to earn up to £25,000 depending on your relevant experience, you will also receive a share of the tips and feel a part of this close family that they are building.
