Job Title – Head Chef

Currently looking to recruit an experienced well qualified Head Chef to manage the kitchen, the successful candidate would lead a strong kitchen team of up to 12 people creating freshly prepared dishes and control the consistency leaving the pass.  You would have the opportunity to plan and develop the menus, working with suppliers and overseeing the kitchen on a management level.  You will benefit from a competitive salary and the opportunity to really push the venue forward in a very competitive market.

Role:

• Control and direct the food preparation process and any other relative activities
• Development of dishes that are existing and planning future menus
• Control and quality control the dishes that leave the kitchen
• Stock management including working with suppliers
• Arrange any necessary repairs for equipment within the kitchen
• Lead the future recruitment for members of the kitchen team
• Delegate and oversee the management of the kitchen staff
• Comply with health & safety legislation

Requirements:

• Proven experience at Head Chef level
• A good understanding of kitchen management
• Fantastic staff management skills including communication and leadership
• A good understanding of current market trends
• Relevant Catering Qualifications
• A superior understanding of food safety legislation

Benefits – The role of Head Chef offers a very competitive salary of up to £32,000 per year plus a share of the tips collected on site during service.  Due to the location of the venue it is easily accessible via the transport links in the city so no need to have access to your own transport.
