Civil Project Manager - Mackay

This leading tier Civil Contractor currently seeks an experienced Project Manager to join their  team based out of Mackay in helping to project management several concurrent multi-million dollar projects.

You will hold a civil engineering degree and have had extensive experience across all civil infrastructure developments, including bulk-earthworks and heavy civil structures or experience in piping projects. Exposure to the mining industrial sector will be strongly favourable. 

This role is to work on civil and mining infrastructure project in the region with a requirement on travelling between Mackay and project location in the BowenBasin.

Essentially strong leadership skills are required in order to help get theses projects through on time and within budget. 

Demonstrable ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams through difficult portions of the project is required. 

Communication skills at both an oral and written level are a key skills needed for this role, as you will be liaising closely with clients, sub-contractors and consultants on a daily basis. 

Requirements 

• Degree qualified Civil Engineer
• Experience as a Project Manager on other similar multi-million dollar civil or mining infrastructure projects
• Plan organise and direct projects in the value of $5m to $30m
• Keen emphasis on Safety/ Quality and Environmental on the project
• Strong financial acumen required - budget v forecasting on a monthly basis
• Demonstrable experience liaising directly with stakeholders
• Ability to push projects through on time and within budget
• Desire to work for a leading Civil Contractor
• Be able to demonstrate an ability to project manager several projects effectively
• Effective communicator, both oral and written
