The HR Generalist must have manufacturing experience.
Labor Relations: Manage the labor relations communications between the Union, Management, and employees, i.e., issue resolution, grievance procedures, NLRB charges, etc.
Employee Relations: Manage the selection process: recruiting, interviewing, selection teams, hiring and new hire orientation (including benefits) for all employees. Ensure that the best-qualified personnel are hired while maintaining all EEO/AAP requirements. Manage transfers & promotions. Investigate unemployment claims in conjunction with the preparation of written protest and appeals and represent the Company at unemployment hearings. Identify legal requirements and government regulations affecting Human Resources functions (EEOC, FLSA, ERISA.)

Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field - Masters degree preferred - Minimum 2-5 years in Human Resource Generalist role - Basic English language and writing skills mandatory - Experience in problem solving techniques key - PHR certification a plus - Previous experience in a union environment - Previous experience with the Taleo Talent Management Platform
