Our client requires a Functional/Technical designer based in Preston. Production of: High Level Functional Designs of DLA/AA system enhancements, from requirements supplied by the client . Functional Designs of DLA/AA system enhancements, from requirements supplied by the client. Technical Designs of DLA/AA system enhancements, from requirements supplied by the client. Support of Best Shore esources during technical design, Code production, Unit and Link test of application modules (online and batch). Act as a quality reviewer of colleague's work, providing comments where necessary. Involvement in preparation and execution of Early Integration Testing (EIT). Support of GTPs planning and execution of System Integration Testing (SIT). Skills required ICL COBOL knowledge - both batch and online processing IDMS database files Design background, needs to be a team player Design experience of legacy systems ICL VME COBOL and SCL knowledge Testing Fault finding.
