Our client, market leader in the manufacture and maintenance of turbochargers, is urgently looking for a “Regional Technical Manager – Turbocharging willing to work under the following conditions:

Location: Singapore

Contract type: Permanent

Business unit: Business Unit Turbocharging

Job function: Consulting Services

Wok regime: Standard working hours.

Tasks:

  • Reporting to Local Business Unit or Local Product Group Manager , your key areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:
  • Report turbocharger issues by means of ATURB Failure Reporting module.
  • Investigate and resolve turbocharger issues type B aligned with responsible Technical Service Manager and in line with guidelines mentioned.
  • Support Technical Service Managers in the investigation and resolution of issues type A as needed.
  • Provide technical support to other local service functions of own territory and act as single point of contact and link to Global Technical Service.
  • Assist allocated EUS organization on technical questions and inquiries from customers and conduct technical customer seminars and trainings.
  • Consult end customers and local representatives of engine builders on system performance, optimal operation, maintenance and service of turbochargers, technical changes, upgrade possibilities and new technical offerings.
  • Support and co-ordinate ongoing upgrade projects, turbocharger modification programs and field tests in allocated countries. Also, responsible for completion of Technical ToDo’s in ATURB.

Requirements:

Key requirements include :

  • Degree in Marine or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5 years practical working experience with turbochargers or reciprocating engines.
  • Experience with Service & B2B customer contact
  • Willingness to travel (up to 50%).

You should have excellent communication skills (written and verbal), presentation and negotiation skills with exposure to multicultural and multilingual working environment and strong customer orientation with the ability to handle critical and challenging customer situations.
