Our client, a leading plumbing and heating contractor from the North West, require an experienced Plumbing Supervisor to manage and supervise the plumbing and drainage aspects of a new build residential project in central Manchester.
The successful applicant will:
- Project manage all plumbing and drainage works on site
- Supervise between 6 and 10 on-site plumbers
- Ensure the company continually works within all Health & Safety guidelines and remain fully compliant at all times
- Keep up to date with changes to legislation, accreditation and advise on necessary changes in working practices
- Share good practice gained through operational experience with all mechanical staff on site
The following are all important to carrying out the role successfully
- Experience of managing a team of on-site plumbers
- A sound plumbing/mechanical knowledge/background
- A willingness to carry out minor plumbing works where necessary
- SSSTS/SMSTS is desirable
- NVQ/City & Guilds in either plumbing or heating
- Knowledge of Health & Safety law and regulations
Successful applicants will have a proven track record of carrying out a similar role for a building contractor with a minimum of 5 years’ experience
You will have a full, clean UK driving licence
