Senior Strategic Security Architect Summary:

Signature Consultants is seeking a Senior Strategic Security Architect for an opportunity in Lexington, MA. The Senior Strategic Security Architect should have in-depth, technical hands-on experience, and will help secure infrastructure and systems by determining security requirements, planning, implementing and testing security systems, carrying out threat modelling, systems review and making recommendations for mitigating security risks.

Requirements:

• Ability to perform strategic end-to-end security design reviews at key points of project lifecycles to identify security requirements, any risks or capability gaps that need addressing, and be able to make recommendations about relevant security hardening and risk mitigation controls that should be implemented
• Threat modelling experience
• Source Code Review experience: a good understanding of Java is important as will be doing code review of (primarily) Java code to ascertain that risk mitigations that were recommended during threat modelling are correctly implemented
• Proven ability to program and script in a variety of programming/scripting languages is highly desirable, as we expect you to be able to automate some of your routine tasks
• A very good knowledge of Linux administration and tools (familiarity with Windows is also useful)
• A good understanding of TCP/IP networking, security protocols and cryptographic algorithms
• Excellent team-working skills, self-starter, pragmatism and a "can do" attitude is crucial
• Willingness to learn and to keep increasing your technical skills is essential

Preferred Qualifications:

• A background in penetration testing or offensive security
• Reverse Engineering and Malware research experience
• Forensic Experience
• A degree in computing with a strong security element (a Masters or PhD is even better, but not essential)
• Having any ethical hacking certification such as OSCP, CEH, or CREST and other relevant certifications such as CISSP or TOGAF is a bonus but not required
