Occupational Safety and Health Manager (PCK477-12453) Houston, Texas
Regional Safety Manager is responsible to the Americas Entity President, with a functional reporting line to the Group Safety Director
•Providing leadership on health and safety issues and supporting the management team in the control and mitigation of risk.
•Establishing, leading and mentoring the regional safety team comprising of area safety managers and regional safety assistant.
•Agreeing exceptions (within authority limits defined within the Safety Management System) where group requirements cannot be implemented and establishing suitable alternative controls.
•Monitoring, measuring and reviewing regional safety performance.
•Managing the regional safety training program
•Being an active member of the safety team, contributing to safety management system development to ensure they are effective within the region.
•The lead investigator on serious incidents.
•Represents Lloyd’s Register HSE on external forums as required.
•B.S. degree or higher with emphasis on Safety Management
•NEBOSH diploma or CSP preferred
•ISO/OHSAS Lead Auditor trained
•Incident Investigations training/instructor
•5+ years of regional leadership experience in North and South America; global exposure is preferred
•10+ years in a senior leadership role preferred
