My client a leading IT solutions provider are seeking to recruit a Senior Software Engineer with the below skill set:

Relevant Experience
• Graduate with good, relevant technical degree.
• At least 5 years' experience developing software outside of an educational environment.
• Experience of testing software, such as writing manual test cases or automated tests.
• Ability to analyse a technical device specification and understand how implementations of that specification could be tested (test analysis).
• At least 3 of the following are required:
o Knowledge of media formats, e.g. MPEG, H264, AAC, Dolby Digital, and experience in creating, modifying and analysing such media files.
o Detailed experience of software development in a high-level, structured language, preferably Python, or similar.
o Appreciation and experience of web-technologies (web-page design, content streaming, app authoring, JavaScript, HTML, DOM, XML, CSS)
o Knowledge of network architecture, protocols and simulation of real world conditions.
o Experience of developing on Linux, shell scripting, and deploying web servers on Linux, preferably Apache.
• Any experience of digital TV or video streaming technology is a bonus but not required.
Personal Qualities
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Capable of working in a cooperative team environment.
• Self starter with good organisational ski
