Project Design Engineer

We are recruiting for a Project Design Engineer in the Lichfield area with our well established client.

As a Project Design Engineer you will need to have:

HND/Degree in an engineering discipline (Mechanical or product design would be an advantage)
Knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and product design processes
At least 10 years’ experience designing using inventor and AutoCAD
Experience within a manufacturing environment

Details:

Salary: £30,000-£32,000 per annum
Working Hours: 37.5 hours Monday to Friday 09:00-17:00
Location: Lichfield
Duration: Permanent

Role of a Project Design Engineer:

Take work on new and existing product ranges
Forge strong relationships with the shop floor and other engineering personnel
Design activities from concept through to production validation
Take responsibility of the robust design of products
Investigate design factors
Prepare project engineer data for new product assemblies and components such as Technical specifications, BOM’s and 3D/2D drawings
Ensure the designs meet the customers’ requirements
