Project Engineer

Project Engineer (PE19) Fife, Scotland

Salary: GBP35000 - GBP40000 per annum

Overall Purpose:

The Project Engineer will be responsible for providing quotations to customers or potential customers for Mechanical, Electrical and Fabrication products or services. Working directly with customers to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget. The Project Engineer will coordinate with other departments to ensure all aspects of each project are compatible and delivered in a safe and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To assist with the scheduling of all projects work, to include revision of project work schedules according to work order specifications.
  • To assist with the day to day coordination of the Projects department. 
  • Assist the Projects Manager in developing working documentation in support of client requirements to include but not limited to work packs, method statements, client correspondence, project plans and SHEQ compliance.
  • Responsible for control and coordinating mobilisation of all Projects tooling, tool kits and instruments for planned work scopes ensuring all are in serviceable condition and calibrated (as required).
  • Create project plans to advise estimate lead times and current capacity.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience within our core business, i.e. HV Rotating Equipment/HV service repair
  • NVQ in Mechanical and / or City & Guilds Electrical Engineering
  • IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent

Experience:

  • Knowledge of the practical application of HV Motor & Generator service/repair engineering
  • Proven track record of managing projects
  • Technical understanding of HV Motors & Generators
  • Good knowledge of Projects procedures and Health & Safety requirements
  • Full UK Driving license
