Logistics Manager - eCommerce (LME) Tamworth, England

Salary: GBP50000 - GBP52000 per annum

A fantastic opportunity for a degree qualified Logistics Manager to join one of the UK's largest brands.

This role is about looking at the strategy to make sure every stage of the supply chain, right back to the source, works effectively. You'll be trusted, encouraged and motivated to create a long term strategy for the eCommerce supply chain. It can be demanding, challenging and fast-paced but equally just as rewarding.

In addition to developing and managing logistics service providers the Logistics Manager plays a vital role within the Corporate Buying Department. You will be responsible for leading a strong internal team and ensure constructive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders of all levels.

The focus of the role is to provide strategic direction and project management across the future logistics strategy project, with a focus on developing the eCommerce supply chain. This is a business wide role, working for the Corporate Logistics Director.

It is envisaged that the successful candidate will have strong previous experience in a similar role and must have experience of working in a large multi channel business, leading teams of technical and business project managers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leads, manages, develops and trains their Logistics Assistants and Logistics Administrators.
  • Develops and maintains constructive working relationships with external partners.
  • Working with stakeholders to define project direction, budget and deliverables and to establish consensus and clear alignment at all levels.
  • Creates a strategy for eCommerce supply chain development with a focus on operational and logistics network efficiency.
  • Identifies, investigates and proposes cost saving opportunities within the supply chain and develops operational plans for implementation, while ensuring due diligence and stakeholder engagement.
  • Works closely with other Logistics Managers to ensure consistency, alignment and efficiency where departments overlap and to continuously improve service and costs.

Essential Educational Qualifications

  • 2:1 Degree or above

Essential Employment Experience

  • Minimum 3 years industry experience in a Management role
  • Previous project and people management experience 
  • Experience of stakeholder management at all levels
