Mechanical Design Engineer (Sen18) Coventry, England
We are currently seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for our market leading client based in the Coventry area. The company are expanding their work force to meet the demands of their clients so there will be excellent opportunities for career development in the future. There is also the opportunity to earn extra days holiday, after 5 years service, to add to the already 25 statutory holidays you will start with.
The ideal candidate must have experience in Machine tools design and a strong background in 3D CAD Design.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of drawings and BOM's for manufacture.
- Regenerate & update old & new drawing formats on the CAD system database to standardise drawings where possible
- Improve & Update existing designs to achieve the use of common components, improve quality.
- Design new products including machines, sub-assemblies, fixtures, loading mechanisms and tooling
- Design of machine bases, hydraulic and pneumatic systems etc.
- 3D CAD Modelling and Draughting on Autodesk Inventor 2010 creating drawings of sheet metal fabricated metal components and castings.
- Produce design solutions that meet customer and internal requirements, conform to safety and other legal requirements.
Can you demonstrate the following
- A strong background in 3D CAD Design, FEA, geometric and dimensional tolerances.
- Experience in machine tools design.
- Experience in Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD is essential.
