The Product Development Assistant role is ideal for someone methodical, well organised with excellent administrative and creative skills. Working within an exciting, busy team environment you will underpin the work of the Product Innovation Team.

Working independently but also playing an active role and collaborating with the wider team and other departments, you will support and assist the Product Innovation team. If you have previous experience of product development and have a creative flair we want to hear from you!

Job Summary

• Supporting the work of the Product Innovation team
• Inputting towards Product Design for all categories
• Completing research into new product designs and competition analysis
• Contributing to maintaining the master product information archive
• Supporting the team in creating new product proposal presentations
• Prototype and sample assessment and installation
• General good practise and project administration tasks

Ideal candidate will have:

• Knowledge and experience of working with NPD processes
• A good working knowledge of 3D CAD, SolidWorks, Adobe suite (Illustrator & InDesign) and Microsoft Office
• Experience of working to deadlines and critical paths of development
• An excellent level of collaborative and teamwork skills, but also the ability to work independently
• High attention to detail, well-organised and able to work towards critical deadlines
• Degree or equivalent level qualification in a Product Design, Development, Industrial Design or similar subject is advantageous.
