Team Leader

Team Leader (TL19) Telford, England

Salary: GBP25000 - GBP25500 per annum

Job summary:     

To organise resource and material efficiently within the assigned area to meet customer orders effectively, achieving your operational targets while operating within the Company policies and procedures.

 Key roles :

 -At all times maintain a safe clean working environment ensuring that safety procedures are followed by you and team members. Identifying any hazards and agreeing actions to minimise risk to team members.

-Develop and maintain a positive/cooperative relationship between your fellow Team Leaders and others you interface with across the Company.

-Manage all aspect of the designated area and take accountability for ensuring that the section achieves its requirements  in accordance with the agreed plan ensuring on time in full (OTIF) and to the required quality and cost standards.

-Manage staffing to ensure its efficient use, working with your fellow team leaders and manager to balance labour, deploying where it is required.

-Identify training needs and maintain a balanced trained workforce to respond to the changes in demand and ensure training records are accurately maintained.

-Provide hands on support where required to train, and cover increases in production or absence of resource.

-Actively practice, encourage and coach team members in continuous improvement techniques, taking ownership of issue’s within your area, ensuring swift root cause analysis, containment, and checking corrective actions are sustained.

-Ensure all documentation is completed as required such as holidays, absence forms, job completion transactions, improvement progress etc and communicated appropriately.

-Support engineering design in development of prototypes and samples for NPI

 -Assist in the creating & maintaining of standard operating procedures carrying out regular checks to ensure procedures are followed and quality standards achieved.

-Maintain discipline within your area reporting breeches by your team members to your supervisor.

-Deputise for colleagues in their absence

-Take a proactive approach to maintaining the company’s ISO 14001 & 9001 accreditations.

-Any other reasonable requests to support the smooth running of the company
