Description
This role is responsible for the internal quality performance of the business in specific operational areas to ensure that the performance is achieved in line with business requirements and in line with recognised ISO standards.
Duties
- Defining the QA testing, product inspection and release procedures and ensuring these are understood and applied in the relevant operational area
- Ensuring that the product meets the quality requirements and is predictable, reliable and consistent
- Responsible for product quality reporting within the business and with internal suppliers and customers
- Handling concession requests and management of non-conforming products with internal suppliers and customers
- Ensuring that relevant equipment is calibrated/verified in accordance with requirements
Responsible for initiating and delivering effective containment and corrective actions to achieve the quality performance to meet business targets
General Duties & Responsibilities
- Gap analysis and closure plans related to QA aspects
- Understanding, communicating and delivery of corrective actions to achieve external customer quality performance
- Carry out ISO audits in line with business requirements
- Working within the operations team to achieve all departmental KPIs
Supporting product and process development activities in the operational area
Essential to the role
Degree level of education in relevant discipline and/or relevant formal training
Desirable
- Experience of Design of Experiment techniques
- Competence in use of statistical software packages
- Knowledge of Management System Auditing techniques
ISO auditing experience
