Are you an experienced Operations manager who has worked in the steel process industry?
The Operations Manager is responsible for the development and maintenance of safety, supply chain, production & development and manufacturing systems, to efficiently and effectively convert raw materials to quality finished product safely, on time, to customer specification and at least cost using appropriate resources available
Summary of Key Responsibilities
Maintain compliance with group and business safety standards and seek opportunities to support continuous improvement in safety performance.
Ensure the maintenance of good housekeeping standards.
Development and maintenance of appropriate logistics relationship with customers.
Benchmark supply chain, quality and manufacturing systems and facilities with other operations/industries and seek/exploit improvements where applicable.
Liaise with internal and external technical bodies to develop manufacturing and product development knowledge for the business as appropriate.
Ensure the development of people skills in the supply chain, and manufacturing are in line with current and future business needs.
Qualifications and Experience
We are looking for a candidates with significant experience in a similar role in the area of steel. The job holder will be qualified to at least degree level and be able to demonstrate a strong/proven aptitude for people management.
