DevOps (Java) Consultant – London - £70,000
A highly valued professional services company specialising in identity and access, management is looking for a DevOps (Java) Consultant to join their very skilled teams to help manage their day to day outputs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with other colleagues to produce high quality software deliverables for internal and external projects
- To actively participate in the team scrum meetings
- Follow and define best practices around software development
- Take ownership on the Dev Ops part of software development
- Experience within DevOps
- Excellent Java/Java EE development experience;
- OO Design Patterns and SOLID concepts;
- Source Control (preferably with GIT);
- Experience with Maven/Gradle automation and dependency management;
- Continuous Integration Tools & Processes (preferably with Jenkins);
- Unix shell scripts experience;
- Web application management (HTTP, Certificates, Cookies, Sessions);
- Web application servers (WebSphere, JBoss, Tomcat, etc.);
- Experience with data notation with XML, XML Schema, JSON;
- Full Project Lifecycle experience across different methodologies (Agile/Scrum, Test Driven Development, Waterfall).
- Proven trouble shooting and problem management experience.
Desirable skills and experience
- Dependency Injection with Spring / Spring MVC;
- Security programming knowledge / experience (SSO, Federation, OAuth 1&2, SAML, WS-Security, OpenID, Kerberos, SSL, SCIM);
- Developing Restful web services
- Testing Techniques (TDD/BDD);
- Knowledge of operations and configuration management.
